Be a visitor to
www.northyorkmoors-npa.gov.uk.
The website is overflowing with information and will give you maps, dates
of local shows and events, National Park sponsored activities for adults
and children as well as providing local history, places of interest, natural
and historical etc.
They have a large section with useful telephone contacts of local activity
providers, fishing, golf, swimming etc. They also provide publications
on walking and a yearly guide to the area - all in all far more than we
could ever do. Well worth the visit.
The Tourist Board with
Scarborough/Whitby visitor centres
also have a website which may contain many commercial ventures not mentioned
in the NYMNP website and would also be worth visiting. www.ycc.org.uk
We are happy to arrange fishing, riding or mountain bike
hire. If you wish to fish for salmon or sea trout, it is wise to book in
advance during the autumn. Although there are sections of the river open
to the public, these tend to get heavily used when the salmon are running.
